What Futures is
Futures gives Twitch creators analytics for their own channel and a shared space where Futures creators can follow, befriend and compare with each other. You sign in with Twitch. Futures is independent of Twitch. Futures is offered to people in the United States.
What we collect
From your Twitch account, when you connect it. Your Twitch user ID, login, display name, avatar and email address. We also store sign-in tokens, encrypted, so Futures can read your channel for you. We ask Twitch for permission to read your email, your subscriptions, your followers and your Bits.
About your channel, from Twitch. Stream sessions, titles, categories, viewer counts sampled during your streams, follower and subscriber totals, and channel events: going live and offline, channel updates, follows, subscriptions, resubscriptions and gifted subscriptions, sub endings, cheers, and raids in and out. These events come from Twitch as sent. They can include the Twitch username of the viewer who followed, subscribed, cheered or raided, and the text of a resubscription message. We do not collect your chat, and we do not track viewers across channels. From these we compute daily and hourly summaries, a weekly growth score, goals progress and suggested next actions.
Cached Twitch data. Media metadata is cached briefly. Legacy non-Futures channel lookup and acquisition paths are dormant; the social search shows eligible Futures creators only.
What you tell us. Your onboarding profile (goals, schedule, time zone and similar), the goals and plans you set, and your feedback on suggestions.
Social features, if you accept the platform agreement. Who you follow and who follows you, friends and friend requests, rivals, blocks, notifications, your posts, replies, quotes, reposts, likes, bookmarks, mentions and the posts you view, plus reports, moderation decisions and appeals that involve you. We use feed impressions, views, interactions and feedback to infer interests and recommend creators and posts, and keep recommendation records associated with your account. A connector is named only when the platform's sharing rules permit it. See the platform agreement for exactly what other creators can see.
Payments. Stripe processes payments. We store your Stripe customer ID, your subscription status and plan, and the billing events Stripe sends us, which include your email and your card brand and last four digits. We never see or store your full card number.
Cookies. Futures uses sign-in session cookies. Futures does not install analytics, advertising or session-replay scripts. Twitch images may load from Twitch, and playing embedded Twitch clips or videos loads Twitch's player; those requests are governed by Twitch's privacy practices and may use Twitch cookies.
How we use it
To show you your analytics, generate suggestions, personalize your feed, run the mandatory shared platform when you accept its agreement, measure weekly growth and, when enabled, publish the weekly leaderboard, bill you, keep the service secure, and enforce our rules. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Futures does not use your data to train AI models.
Who we share it with
Service providers that process data for us: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and sign-in), Anthropic (AI web search that looks up public statistics for channels in Rivals; it receives the channel name, not your data), Stripe (payments) and Twitch (the platform we read from and act on with your permission). Other Futures creators see only what the platform agreement lists. We disclose information when the law requires it. If Futures is sold or merged, the data moves with it under this policy.
How long we keep it
| Data | Kept |
|---|---|
| Legacy cached lookups of channels not on Futures | up to 24 hours; acquisition paths are dormant |
| Job logs | 30 days |
| Billing event records from Stripe | 90 days |
| Suggestion states | 180 days |
| Next-action history | about 400 days |
| Notifications | 30 days once read, 90 unread |
| Social activity log | 90 days |
| Removed post text | cleared 90 days after removal |
| Reports and appeals | 1 year after resolution; at-risk/dismissed report snapshots cleared after 30 days, resource-send actions 30 days |
| Your Twitch-derived channel data, goals and social graph | until you disconnect Twitch, then access is fenced and deletion starts; cleanup can require retries |
| Your posts after you disconnect | hidden; scheduled for deletion after 30 days, unless you reconnect and re-accept before purge; moderation records follow their separate schedule |
| Consent records and your basic account row | while your account exists |
| Temporary account-export snapshot | available for one hour, then unavailable and scheduled for hourly cleanup; account deletion or Twitch disconnect also removes it |
| Viewer identifiers and resubscription message text in raw channel events | Successfully processed channel-event payloads supported by cleanup become eligible for scheduled reduction 30 days after successful processing. Cleanup removes viewer identifiers and resubscription authors/message text; backlog and locked rows can delay it. Raid creator IDs, login and display name remain for channel attribution. Pending or failed events, events with unsupported type or version, and payloads whose envelope or event is not an object keep raw evidence with no automatic age cutoff; account cleanup still applies. Event ledger metadata and derived analytics remain under the account lifecycle. |
Your choices and rights
- Disconnect Twitch in Settings → Account & data, or from your Twitch account's Connections page. This stops social access and starts deletion of your Twitch-derived data, goals and social graph. Cleanup can require retries. It does not delete your whole Futures account or creator setup, or cancel your subscription.
- Download your account data in Settings → Account & data. The download includes your account records and personal activity and recommendation information covered by the export. It excludes credentials, raw channel-event payloads containing viewer information, other users' private records and internal operational records. Provider-held records and requests that exceed the self-serve export's capacity need assisted handling through the contact below. Check your browser's Downloads for completion; a click alone does not confirm a complete file.
- Delete your account in Settings → Account & data. This permanently removes your local Futures account, authored posts and consent records after billing checks pass. Resolve blocking subscriptions or payments first; deletion does not cancel a subscription. Anonymous moderation outcomes can remain under their retention schedule. Provider-held billing records, backups and other retained exceptions need the rights workflow; this control does not promise deletion of every provider-held copy. If Twitch-side revocation fails, remove Futures from Twitch Connections as well.
- Anything else: write to FuturesSupport@gmail.com. You can ask to access or export your data, correct it, delete your whole account, or learn which providers received it. We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and aim to complete verified requests within 30 calendar days, or within the shorter period your law requires. Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Washington or Nevada), you may have further rights, including appealing a refusal. We will not treat you differently for using them.
- Viewers of a Futures creator's channel: if your Twitch username reached us through a follow, subscription, cheer or raid event, you can ask us to delete it at the same address.
Age
Futures is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are additionally encrypted with a key held outside the database. Every table is protected by row-level access rules.
Changes
We will post changes here with a new effective date, and tell you in Futures before a material change takes effect.
